Isn't it funny how we see people how we want them to be or think that they are, but reality is they aren't anything like that?

This whole concept twists my brain, but we want to see what we want to see in others and often ignore what is really there....thus the term 'red flag' comes to mind. Had we really seen what was there versus what we wanted to see, perhaps we would look the other way. Just a thought.

You may be on to something there.

I am slowly learning that each of us has the answers deep within us if we only take the time to listen to our inner self versus that thing called a heart.
Instincts are rarely wrong. I have become entangled in more problems, when I have chosen to ignore intuition, especially, where people are concerned. The adage, "look before you leap," comes to mind.
@OWise1: You're good!! 👍

@Maverick1962: I agree with you and then the bandit known as the heart comes out and says, "the heart wants what the heart wants" and often people throw caution to the wind despite the army of intuition being present saying, "Whoa now hold on there, don't you see this and this..." Let your conscience be your guide and to thine own self be true...follow your gut and you can't go wrong indeed.
You are very wise, OWise1.
@OWise1: Yes, it's the heart that will get you in trouble every time. Rule no. 1 .... always tell yourself the truth. Never defend nor make excuses for someone else's bad behavior.

@GraceFromEP: @GraceFromEP: Great great advice. I might add...there is no excuse for bad behavior and ignoring bad behavior more than once ( for the benefit of the doubt) is our own fault. That darned heart!
@Maverick1962: Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! So true!
@GraceFromEP: Thank you, Grace.🙂
I absolutely love that first line....Instincts are rarely wrong.. Bingo!!!. @Maverick1962:
@OWise1: Yeees.....Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me!
@GraceFromEP: This is so true. I heard a more country version of this adage, growing up in Oklahoma: "A dog bites you on the arse; the first time it is his fault, the second time it's yours."

@Maverick1962: Wow so appropo! lol and kind of funny in it's own way.
@Maverick1962: Yes! I like that! lol. Very true.
@GraceFromEP: 😉
Good night, ladies. I have to get some shuteye before the alarm sounds in three hours.
@Maverick1962: Yep. Me too. Goodnight. Thanks for those good words of wisdom.
