Palestinians are obliged to use violence facing such an oppressive, blood-lustful colonial settler. Even saints will find it hard to remain saints!

I see this has become a thread for people who only holding opinions outside of living there as acting righteous in opinion. If they had such courtesy, they would go to boards and forums where the topic can actually be talked about instead of talking in hyperbole. I love the group who would normally identify as being Leftist here, arguing against Palestine, justifying more than 18000 dead in Gaza. What do they say to the likes of Noam Chomsky, will they admit their passion and fire resembles what causes war?

@thewindupbirdchronicles Noam Chomsky used to be an important linguist, he almost single-handedly developed the generative-transformational model.
He has become Putin's parrot now, denying Ukraine’s sovereign integrity and blaming "the West".
@helenS We're not going to agree. You've bought what he suggested not too. Please explain to me when the model of apartheid ends?
helenS · 36-40, F
@thewindupbirdchronicles It ended in 1989, when South African Prime Minister P.W. Botha resigned and his successor, F. W. de Klerk, lifted the ban on the African National Congress and other Black liberation parties, restoring freedom of the press, and releasing political prisoners.

#FuckGaza
@helenS And you still needed to append #FuckGaza, much bias? But you won't see Israel forcing people to leave their homes, being caged, building walls as anywhere near the same. It's no wonder humanity has lost all human compass.

@thewindupbirdchronicles Israel hasn't forced anyone in Gaza to leave their homes since 2005, when the IDF withdraw from Gaza. Some months later (after a short civil war between several Islamist factions) Hamas was in power (there were free elections, Hamas got 60% of the votes) and they started shooting rockets and fire kites to Israel.
I hope the IDF will completely destroy Hamas' power base this time.

#FuckFuckFuckGaza
@helenS That's a very Western, especially European take, who forced Jews to leave even after Hitler. A guilty conscious holds no bounds, there were boundaries never respected drawn up many years ago and walls built by Israel that didn't respect those agreed upon boundaries. You can't pretend they are only an innocent victim.

@thewindupbirdchronicles
You can't pretend they are only an innocent victim.
As part of their pogrom, the Gaza government killed 364 civilians and wounded many more at the Supernova Sukkot Gathering, an open-air music festival celebrating the Jewish holiday of Sukkot near kibbutz Re'im.
Innocent victims? Guilty of being Jewish!
(Some victims weren't even Jewish. You might call them by-catch)

#FuckGaza – Hamas' fertile womb
@helenS And now 20000 Palestinians killed, and you want to continue. Even the US is telling Netanhyu to slow down, and you know that is to gain "humanitarian support". I'm waiting for your unique interpretation how one life is worth more than another.

@thewindupbirdchronicles President Biden has a big problem, because (a) the Arab community in some states such as Michigan will refuse to vote for him if he's too easy on those f*cking Jewish colonizers; (b) a relevant segment of his "leftist" voters (the "friends of the Palestinian people") may stay at home on election day if JB doesn't pay them at least lip service.

In the meantime, Yemeni freedom fighters have started attacking Israel with freedom rockets.

@helenS Well at least I see how you are turning very right wing.... might as well own it.. You need to tone down your rhetoric.. But I don't know why you came across this opinion...... Not everyone in North America is concerned about American politics, and some of us do count 1200 Jewish people killed, 20000 Palestinians.... so keep it up.

@thewindupbirdchronicles Anti-semitism has relocated itself from the right wing to the political left. It's nothing new though, celebrated left-wing men like Mikhail Bakunin(*) were horrible anti-semites, see quote below.

I try to support Israel as much as I can, and I'm not surprised I'm seen as a right-wing person now, and I couldn't care less. The world-wide left is rotten to its horrible anti-semitic core. I don't want to have anything to do with them.

(*)"In Western Europe there are still many countries where the peasants, whether owners or not, are literally devoured by the Jews; but it is especially in Eastern Europe, in the Slavonic and Hungarian countries of Austria, in the Grand Duchy of Posen in Prussia, in all Poland, Lithuania and White Russia inclusive, in Moldavia and Wallachia, that Jewish usury exercises its most ruthless and excessive depredations. So in all these countries the people hate the Jews. They hate them to the extent that every popular revolution is accompanied by a massacre of Jews: a natural consequence, but one which is in no way conducive to making the Jews supporters of the popular and social revolution." (M. Bakunin, To the Companions of the Federation of International Sections of Jura, February-March 1872)
@helenS Pretend all you want. The world is very rotten with the biggest super power for many years giving Isreal weapons for years, not caring the plight of Israelis, but having a presence, but I also know that old passage. So until Palestinians are not caged, placed behind walls, taken from their families, I can't agree with you. It's going to create hostility; right or wrong.

If your political pastures changed, that has more to do with the times than reality.
@helenS And by the way proving you see wrongs in Europe is not going to convince me anything in how Europe treats Jews. Even anything I might see you as clouded. Don't ever doubt there are people who will argue any point of view for their political purposes, and while most civilians are decrying the travesty they see In Gaza, it's only governments now supporting Israel....
