Personally I would not. For a variety of reasons. The US economy is not doing very well, can be very expensive and most major cities have the same amount of murders in a month that most European or even Canadian cities see in an entire year. Also don't get sick or you will be one of the 54 000 people who go bankrupt every year from medical bills. My parents spent 4 years in the US during an economic boom and even then they could not wait to go home. Americans are on the whole okay people but the American dream became a pipe dream decades ago. You would be better off in nearly any European city or even in Canada.
