Do other people influence how you speak to others? If so, how?

For example, if you are around a dialect long enough, do you begin speaking like the person with whom you are with?

YES. Especially if I just saw a movie or played a great video game, I begin to mimic the actions and tone of that previous entertainment. For a while, at least.

Yes, I've seen it in others, it's happened to me personally, & it supposedly happens pretty often to people in such situations.

Yes. I pick up on accents/dialects very fast and so it's just a matter of time before I start speaking like them.
