"Ethnicity" is so wide open to anything. Heck maple trees are an ethnic group because all maple trees share some common traits. Buicks can be an ethnic group. It can apply to humans about a million differing ways.

I'm guessing here you mean us to go buy your physical traits and facial features to guess basically your nationality of origin either by birth/citizenship or cultural ancestry. Practically impossible, but I can narrow it down and guess Mongoloid race Asian? Based on some facial feature. I know that's not as granular as a nationality but Mongoloid race Asian is also an ethnic group.

For more granularity I'll also guess......Indonesian. But without some clothes, foods, language, belief system, other non - physical and more cultural hints, I'm not doing much better than shooting in the dark.

It's just more physically specific (which is what race basically is) than the more generic term "Asian" because there are other/different races of people on the Asian continent that are also "Asian". Asian is not physical/facial feature dependant though many many people default to the assumption that Asian onky means mongoloid race people. Mongoloid is an old scientific name for the main population of people occupying Far East and Southeast Asia and pacific islands just off the continental shores. "Asian" can technically be an ethnicity for all who inhabit the continent and born and raised in the any of the untold numbers of Asian ethnics and cultures.

But I mainly think I was so certain of Hawaiian my mind closed off any other possibilities. There is a good lesson for you in that as well as you go forth in life. Assumptions can cause wrong answers.
