Do you get all panicky if you leave the house without 100% charge on your phone

I feel uneasy when its below 80%. No idea why either

Lol it runs out that fast? My 40% can last til the next day if I use it sparingly. The idea is to just keep it (turned?) on in case someone needs to reach me.
