Still winter in Canada during March but the snow will start receeding. I think of St. Patricks Day mainly, I think of melting snow and slush. It kinda an ugly month here, dirty snow but getting excited for spring.

@JimboSaturn I heard that Winter weather in Canada doesn't end til May. 馃

@Zonuss You may get the occasional snow in May but for the most part, the flowers are starting to come out and the trees are about to bud. It's spring feeling.

My garden daffodils have been in flower for about two weeks now. There are snowdrops everywhere, the crocuses (crocii?) are coming into bloom; bushes now budding. I saw a large patch of primroses in flower a few days ago. A big bundle of frog-spawn in my garden pond, too.

March is the last of the ick. It鈥檚 bone chilling damp and angry wind and dirty slush piles and boot sucking mud, but when the sun shines, it鈥檚 warm and reminds me of impending lovely April. I鈥檓 never really present in March.

@Zonuss I鈥檓 walking through March dreaming of April.

March brown mayflies and skwala stonefly hatches in our trout streams. Early spring run coastal steelhead too.
Funny how the event got its nick name - Big Dance.
Finally, learnt something new in ages. Tks.
