Do u believe social media has changed the way we see relationships 🖥️ 🖥️

And society as a whole.
It has changed the trajectory of our very own existence. About 30 years ago, the internet was not the norm. Although it was created it still was not introduced to the mainstream. It didn't really hit the ground until around l1994. And it has evolved greatly since then. Do you believe that social media has changed the way we see relationships.
Has it changed the way we handle relationships. People cheat more now or do they. People know more now or do they. What do you think SW. Have things really changed ? Best answer wins ☺️ 🖥️

I think it upped the ante. Not that it can’t be a good thing, but I have my doubts the good outweighs the bad, all told.

@JustNik Up the ants as in raised the bar ?

@Zonuss maybe. As in everything now has always been, this just throws more power behind the wave. Raises the stakes. We can find validation for absolutely anything now. The lines of reality are blurred. Even the good it has to offer is mostly illusion until it’s pulled into real life. To take social media in and of itself with serious gravity and trust is akin to believing cartoons are real. There are an awful lot of people out there believing the cartoon and acting on those beliefs without any attempt to test the reality of them.

@Ferise1 social media is real yes. Not everything we find there is. It seems the longer it’s around, the less able people are to discern the difference

@Ferise1 whatever idea we have, we can find someone to corroborate and validate it and make us less inclined to test it. Whenever we’re lonely, we can easily believe that too good to be true person who finds us is exactly who we need them to be. We used to be challenged more in life. It used to take more effort for these seeds to be sown. Where once our inherent laziness worked in our favor, it now works against us.

@Zonuss I agree! It’s the degree to which it is not that falls through the cracks, and it feels as though the cracks are widening.
l find it’s harder to make connections, people are cynical and less caring. Maybe it’s different for women…
Funny that, maybe not messaging people and telling them they’re a Shitty person would be a good start. Especially when you don’t know them!

So you feel the need to attack my personality. Rich coming from someone that says people aren’t caring. 🙄
