Nobody dies of "natural causes" these days. There is always something.
I worked in aged care for several years.
There are many natural causes: heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney failure, cancer, early onset Alzhiemer's.
Although most of these can be treated in order to prolong life, not everyone chooses to accept treatment. My father chose to stop taking his medication and thus died of double pneumonia two weeks later. He preferred to die at 73 rather than lose his mind to dementia.

@RogueLoner So what do you believe killed him... Covid-19... or complications from it?
People often think of professional athletes as the healthiest people. But it's not always so. They suffer multiple sports and training injuries, concussions, and enormous amounts of stress in the continuous push to be competitive. Stress alone can severely weaken the immune system.
Plus there is probably a genetic element in who is more or less prone to covid and how it affects each individual.
Was he vaccinated? Did he follow the public safety advice or did he continue to socialize without regard to the risks of the pandemic?
If he did get covid, did he perhaps die of secondary causes?
Maybe it was the family who said they didn't want the actual cause announced?
Who's to know? The USA has been a mish-mash of different policies everywhere and many just choosing their own path according to what they believed. So many in the first few months thought there was no pandemic, just a conspiracy theory - until they or their loved ones caught it themselves.
