While I agree the whole system of advertising is shady, there's is absolutely nothing anyone can do to get rid of the advertising.

It's so ingrained in society that few will even question the whole system.

If you can't fight it, there is no other recourse but to take advantage of it. You lose worse if you don't use it.

Even Bernie Sanders craved into the democratic party after decades. Yet that didn't change his overall ideals.

I think this place will go downhill if you bring in the profit motive. Instead of genuine dialogue it could turn into people saying what will make money
