Does depression make you look uglier?

I can clearly notice my pictures from the beginning of the year to how I look now. A lot has happened this year and I feel like its showing on my face.

I looked more cheerful in the pictures that were taken in the beginning of the year vs. now. I look way less happier even in like smiley photos. Its kind of bothering me. Even my friends noticed the sudden shift in my appearance.

Sure does, it's like social repellent, it makes you give off a shitty energy like hey don't be near me I'll dampen your mood. Swear to god, since I got a job and started feeling better about myself my friends suddenly remembered I exist we even did an adventure thing. Sad sack vibes really do push people away it seems

It has a way of wearing under your eyes, you can let yourself go some, but often really it's in your eyes, and your eyes alone. Can you think of something that makes you smile?

Yes. Stress, depression, cynicism, pent up anger, they all take a toll on our mental and physical well-being...

@Unlearn Luckily it works in reverse too

@SW-User yes it does...

It doesn't make you look uglier. It just makes you look dead inside i.e. lost all vitality. When people don't see the aliveness in you, they think it's a shift in appearance unless if you are actually gaining or losing weight because of it.

A happy face is always more attractive then a grumpy face..
It's your perception

At your age it is reversible
