I'm in Broward County, Florida and so far all's quite here with the exception of some wind and light overcast. Never got any evacuation warnings either soooo I'm safe. As long as things don't go SOUTH (literally).
@Zonuss I know Central Florida is projected to get hit. My brother traveled from Lakeland to Tampa to stay with my parents and one of my sisters in Tampa is evacuating out of her apartment as well. Though I do believe Tampa IS a west coast city if I remember my state geography correctly?
Ian could be the "Big One" long feared in the Tampa-St Pete area. I experienced K (in LA and MS, K is for Katrina) first hand and the only thing that really matters in the end is that loss of life is kept to a minimum. You can resurrect a home, but not a life.
theres a reason we are called the Carolina Hurricanes. hopefully, this one wont be too bad here, just rain mostly. not like in years past when we got tore up.
