Has joining SW affected your life in any way at all ?

It's interesting that this is posted in "Dating & Relationships" I've actually realized (after many days of getting drunk and nude and masturbating to photos of nude men) that I'm not bisexual, but actually gay....and I've posted to come out as gay to SW. I realized that, although I can appreciate the beauty of the female body, I wasn't sexually attracted to women but only to men. Earlier conversations with other people on SW had them telling me that they thought I was gay or that they considered me to be gay (though I saw myself as bisexual at the time). Since my post coming out as gay to SW, I haven't been drunk once....yet I still find that I'm only sexually attracted to men. I'm gay and I'm sober for over 2 months....and that has been affected by SW.
It taught me that I can’t trust others in here but there is some kind friends that I’m glad I made. Ep sort of gave me a lot of optimism but SW doesn’t. What Ep had was less show offs and more real genuine people. SW seems like more beauty contests, annoying cliques, annoying simps and less realism.
@SW-User The world is not the same. It has changed dramatically and gotten darker since EP was created. It definitely changed socially since the pandemic.

I agree with you about the world changing and it’s really sad. I always had some great conversation daily on Ep. On here only a few friend message from time to time. What I hate the most about SW is everyone praising the evil women here like they’re Goddesses. Many people here act like they have brains the size of a pea. Ugh @Zonuss
Ive learned not to give people the benefit of the doubt. If they seem too good to be true or theres the slightest niggle they are not quite what they seem....then they are probably not what they are trying to pass themselves off as. It took me a long trip down a rocky road to accept this as i always try to see the good in everyone....to the point it made me blind to glaring red flags. Ive always thought i was a good judge of character, but having had the wool pulled over.my eyes in such spectacular fashion, then clearly this is not so.
Im good now. But...im not so trusting, not so open, not as friendly even, much more gaurded than i was. But surprisingly, im ok with all that......less drama. I learned that I like less drama.
@RubySoo I think we have all had to learn here not to be too trusting of others here even if they make us feel tingly inside. But give some the benefit of the doubt only when necessary.
It hasn't really changed my outlook on anything. But I have made some nice friends here that I love to share things with. And it's always fun to share with you, Zonuss.
I’d say the best changes to me personally happened on EP. SW just sort of rounded out the education and brought me back down to earth. I’ll always be grateful for the lovely souls I met here though.
@Zonuss What I mean is that it isin't that major. If it wasn't here I'd easily do something else. I appreciate it but if it went away I'd be totally fine.
