Don't mind me
I think one of the curses of the internet is that it has made a lot of people lose their inhibitions. Why? Because they don't have any accountability.
People say crazy things, people post crazy things, because they think they're anonymous, and nobody is going to hold them accountable.
Two problems arise from this.
One, people have stopped questioning their line of thinking before they speak. They don't ruminate on things. They don't let it simmer in their brains for a while. They just spit out the first thing that comes in mind.
What you see is their raw thoughts, conveyed directly from their minds.
Two, people don't know where to draw the line. They can't tell the difference between what's appropriate and what's not. They easily get sucked into the latest trends and peer pressure.
I'm going to explain both issues with some examples.
One common trend on social media these days is bait posts and reactionary posts.
A bait post is something controversial that a person who thinks they're too smart says on social media to lure naive people into useless arguments and debates.
A reactionary post is a reflexive retort that a person spits out on the spot, without much thinking.
Another common trend is generalization and stereotypes.
Let's see some examples in action:
B: Donald Trump is a stupid disgusting moron.
R: Oh yeah? Well Joe Biden is a r3tarded p3dophile!
B: All men are dogs.
R: Yeah? Well all women are cvnts!
B: All muslims are r^pists.
R: Oh yeah? Well all Christians are gay!
B: All Indian men are ugly.
R: Oh yeah? Well all white women look like ghosts until they tan!
B: All Asian men have small d!cks.
R: Oh yeah? Well all black men have dirty d!cks!
B: All Republicans are naz!s.
R: Oh yeah? Well Democrats are looters and murderers!
You may have come across these kind of bait posts, reaction posts, generalizations, and stereotypes on the internet.
Many people may not find a problem with these kind of posts, until they find themselves being stereotyped by some total stranger. That's when the trouble starts.
I was a subject of generalization and stereotyping quite recently. It's been festering at the back of my head. I was also recently almost baited into reacting. Almost.
And I've been thinking, that this is what some people do because they think that they can get away with it.
What they fail to realize, is that they've got their faces plastered all over the internet. And one day, they might p!ss someone off enough to come after them.
How anonymous do you think you really are when you've posted your duck faces all over social media?
I'll tell you how anonymous. Not really.
And I'm speaking from experience. If someone wants to find you, they will.
Think about how stup!d and ridiculous it sounds to say that some stranger from the internet showed up on your front porch and threw a bucket of faeces into your face because you said something incredibly racist and sexist to them.
That's your best case scenario.
Don't speak everything you think.
Everyone has the freedom to think. You can think anything.
Chances are. your line of thought will change when you look at an issue from different angles and viewpoints.
But once you say it out loud, there's no going back.
Which brings me to the next issue.
The more recent trend on the internet has been h0rny posting and nvde posting.
There's a long line of people who've done this, faced a ton of regret and disappeared because of shame.
Ever noticed these posts asking "What happened to so and so? They just disappeared!"
Regret and shame. That's what happened.
Some comments say, "Oh, they got a life. They moved on. They're doing well. blah blah blah."
No they didn't. No they've not. No they're not.
What, you think someone shuts down their account and disappears and all of a sudden they become a millionaire or something?
SHAME AND REGRET!
Now I'm not saying that everyone who's left this site did it because of shame and regret. Some may very well have found a life outside SW and that's great, that's wonderful.
Others may have been hit by karma, the fruits of their despicable actions, and they're probably rotting somewhere, paying for their sins.
But some disappeared because their incredibly tiny brains finally grasped the reality of life, and the consequences of lying, cheating, adultery, multiple affairs, h0rny posting and nvde posting.
It takes many years to break the cycle of cheating, adultery, h0rny posting and nvde posting. These are all variable forms of lust. If you've been doing too much of it, chances are, it will affect your personal life adversely.
And people will find out what you've been up to, eventually.
When you've finally found the love of your life, your eternal soulmate, do you want them to see all the nvdes you'd been posting online before you met them?
When your kids finally grow up, do you want them to come across mama's t!tties plastered all across some forum?
Lust really blinds people's ability to make the correct judgement and decisions.
There's something called dignity. You may not have it in the moment, but when the crazy hormones fade, you'll see what I'm talking about.
And a person's dignity matters the most in front of their loved ones. You want to be a respectable person in their eyes.
It's important to have control over your impulses. Don't just do what everyone else is doing. Don't follow the herd. Don't succumb to peer pressure. Cool yourself off and think before you do something.
Some people say a h0rny man will fvck anything. But there's a thing called post-nut clarity, in which a person comes to a realization of just how stup!d and dvmb they are. Try to think with the clarity of a man who's just nutted, without nutting. It's difficult to do, takes a lot of strength and self-restraint and self-control. But it helps one keep their dignity, and have less regrets.
