All the people complaining about their government on sw, government is not charity. They are there to make money, agreed ?

I don't think a single government scholar has ever said that the purpose of government is to make money. Sorry buddy - no one thinks this. Feel free to link me to any book or article that's says otherwise. I'd also like to know an example of a government that makes money. The US government functions at a deficit so large we can barely count that high.

@DeWayfarer That's cute. It's the job of government to mint currency but I don't think that's what he meant by "make money"

A country needs to generate revenue to work but it’s only a means to an end.

Government need money in order to run many things. That's why they ask you to pay taxes.

It should be a two way thing, governments should be here to do what the people say and to a lesser degree people obey the government... unless they are corrupt.
Sadly the media feed people crap and distractions from whays really going on.

Government does not generate/make a penny on their own. All their monies are acquired from the people (individual & corporate) through taxes. It is our money they use and abuse.

The resigned Boris Johnson and all other MPs who resign get a severance pay off of £420,000 pounds.
Boris is set to make £3 million per year from book deals and speaking tours.

No government ever makes money. They spend the taxpayers money that they extort from the taxpayers at gun point.
