Do you believe in an Afterlife/Reincarnation?

If so, does this afterlife require some kind of religious affiliation? Most of us love the idea of being reunited with loved ones in some wonderful other plane of existence. The few atheists that even bother addressing this question will say there is nothing beyond clinical death. That it's simply over. What is your opinion?

I believe in an afterlife for sure.
Idk where I stand on reincarnation right now. Still to form an opinion
@NickiHijab Hope you get there and enjoy.
My many years of research informs me there is continuation of life without any lapse in consciousness. It has nothing to do with religion. Even atheists have the same kinds of near-death experiences as the religious.
@PhoenixPhail I happen to be one of them though my NDE was very brief it was similar to the religious experiences.

Reincarnation definitely, because
The law of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed - only converted from one form of energy to another. So death is basically a transformation of energy and matter nothing actually dies but changes forms.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.
I honestly don’t know, D. I know what I wish were so—the idea that when the people we love go they’re gone forever with no possibilities of reunion breaks my heart on a fundamental level. 😞
@bijouxbroussard I'm confident you will be reunited with your loved ones, and so much more. I never used to believe this until I researched it.

This is only one of the numerous materials on the subject.

@PhoenixPhail Thanks for a great contribution. Having spent many years with the terminally ill, I've seen so many of the dying reaching out to a long -dead relative talking to them and "seeing" them. They often have very happy facial expressions.
@Grateful4you Oh, you're quite welcome. I enjoy sharing these materials. I find the ones containing hospice-nurse accounts of what they've observed in their patients to be very compelling, and consoling.

Yes - reincarnation- I have recollections of being a Concubine to a Chinese emperor 🐼🥢
@Dlrannie Bet that gets really interesting. Have you tried journaling any of the memories?

@Grateful4you No I haven’t 🐼🥢

I would like to be reincarnated in Tennessee.

I’m going to choose new parents who are from Tennessee.

Chooses to be born in Cookeville and raised in Murfreesboro.

I lived in Tennessee in my past life.

I was the wife of a farmer in Tennessee who lived in a beautiful Farmhouse and had 8 kids. Somewhere in Northeast Tennessee.
Apparently, you are fond of Tennessee. 😜

@Grateful4you I will marry a Tennessean in the next life.

I believe in reincarnation. I don't believe in a god or whatever, but I do believe in spirits and such, so I can't claim to be an atheist.
(If I had to choose a religion it would be paganism)
I'm more with Henry David Thoreau.....“One world at a time”.

@SW-User That’s very interesting.
@SW-User I may have been a master calligrapher in a past life as I love doing oriental characters on handmade papers and preparing my own inks.
