So Trumps latest bonkers idea if for US war planes to have Chinese markings painted on them and then bomb Russia.

Better than Biden sitting around twiddling his thumbs
@TheRascallyOne So what’s your suggestion, Mr. Churchill? Send American soldiers and start WWIII? Feel free to go there on your own if you’re so eager.

Gradually escalating sanctions is the way to go. Trump is an idiot who has no idea what to do. I’m just glad this didn’t happen while that treasonous fuck was in office. He’d have us fighting on his boss Putin’s side.

@LeopoldBloom what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

@LeopoldBloom first I'm going to say I've read some of your comments before and you do seem like you have a good head on your shoulders.
I strongly disagree with your political views. But I'm not trying to start a fight I'm just making a statement. Or actually asking a question.
Now in all seriousness, shouldn't we just butt out completely?
Do you really think that sanctions are going to affect Russia in any way shape or form?
Russia does not care. I don't believe they just woke up one morning and said hey we need a bigger backyard. There was some thought into what the rest of the world was going to think and do.
Just kind of interested in your views on that..
@Dainbramadge The U.S. is, whether you like it or not, a world empire. We're affected by events overseas more so than, say, a country like Uruguay or New Zealand. We also have interests in Europe specifically. So we can't "butt out" unless we completely realign our economy to be self-contained, which isn't going to happen - and would be opposed by most Americans once they understood that would mean a major drop in our standard of living. So we have no choice but to get involved at least in the form of sanctions and military aid.

The sanctions are having an effect, just not as fast as sending troops, but there's no chance of that happening unless Putin attacks a NATO country. The question is whether Ukrainian resistance along with the sanctions will sap Russian enthusiasm first.

@LeopoldBloom Thank you for this answer.
A lot of times people get pissed at me when I ask them to elaborate.
I just want to understand.
I am a black or white thinker. The light is on or it's off. So the way I view the whole Russia thing is we either deal with it and make it go away completely or we ignore it.
That's why I know I could never be in politics
Too much gray s*** to deal with
Thanks again.
