Haunting memories from the past recalling that imperfect rhyme,
Memories on hold, drifting back to another place and time,

Two people who drifted apart a long time ago,
An abrupt ending disrupting the flow,

I reached out often but there was simply no reply,
I often wondered what was the reason why,

It's been so long since I've written from my broken heart,
I often wonder what tore us completely apart,

Sometimes I see little hints of the person I once knew,
Wondering why we never took the time, why we never grew,

I often think of you from time to time,
As I still seek that place within that elusive space and time, that peace of mind,

But still unsure why you never reach out,
