Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton

True story: this was the fav song of my gf when I was maybe 14 or 15. We were together for maybe one month. We slow danced to this song. It was “our song”. Fast forward 4 years. She gets married to a classmate of ours. I’m invited to the reception as the +1 of an invited guest. When the bride and groom had their first dance, it was to this song. I wanted to stand up snd proclaim: “But it was our song!” I showed restraint, and they had a beautiful 20 year marriage … before they divorced.

I love Clapton. Many great memories of him live and this song I sang to my wife at our wedding
