I almost never see snow

@Royrogers Likewise! It's quite rare where I am.

@ArishMell are you in the Mediterranean ?
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@Royrogers LOL! No - Southern England. We do have snow but only occasionally and it does not usually last long.

@ArishMell same here you have to be quick or it is gone. The papers keep going all dramatic and forecast ‘a wall of snow’ but none appears

@Royrogers We had about two inches of the stuff, several years ago, and it lingered for a week. I lived at the time on a hill, and though the main roads were soon passable with care, the estate's car-parks and streets became sloping sheets of ice treacherous even for walking on, let alone driving.

I still had to go to work, some twelve miles away, but was able to do so by train. My home railway-station was about ten minutes' walk away (nearer twenty in those conditions); but my work much further from its station, along pavements covered with very irregular ice.

The time to put on your winter puffer jacket and walking boots @ArishMell

@Royrogers LOL! I did! Well, equivalents. I used Wellington boots and carried my shoes into work, in a back-pack.
