Father passed away this week

He was 92 years young and was so miserable since my mom passed away a few years ago. I'm glad he is no longer suffering but I am processing all the good memories I have of him.so definitely mixed feelings. Not a great way to start the year

My dad is in rough shape and will go sometime soon, but it kinda sounds like the same situation. His heart died when mom did. His death will be the end of many years of loneliness I can't imagine. When I think of him at peace it makes the situation a bit easier to deal with.

Im so sorry for your loss... My dad is 90 and i know he is on borrowed time... I lost my wife back 2020 so i know what you mean about processing the good memories.... It doesn't get easier you just get more used to the feelings 😞😞😞

So sorry. I think deep down we all believe parents are eternal and it hits so damned hard when they pass. It never gets easier. Worse is you get used to their absence. But there are other worlds than this one. Our time here in this one is less than a cosmic eye blink.

Not a good way to begin indeed. I'm hoping that you can remember all the good times you shared and will have a celebration of his life (not a mournful funeral) at some point.
