@Stereoguy Vitamin D (Vitamin D3 with Vitamin K2 to get it where it needs to go) and BORON. I got interested in both of those after watching Dr. Berg’s videos on them and thought they’d help my joint pain, he also mentioned that they both could benefit hormones, and possibly increase metabolism by freeing up stored body fat for energy. I figured it would take at least a month for all of that to happen but within a couple of days I wasn’t craving anything with sugar in it and had more energy. I also bought some Moringa after reading about it (helps with pain, metabolism, and many other conditions). Then I stopped craving rice, potatoes etc starchy foods. I haven’t had anything with sugar since the day before Thanksgiving even though people were offering me chocolate and other treats. Now I am on the keto diet because it’s low carb and helps with fat burn and other things.

@Stereoguy if those are the nutrients you need then it should help you. I was having leg cramps a few years ago when I was taking higher doses of Vitamin D and stopped taking it altogether. Dr. Berg has said that almost everyone could benefit from it because we can’t get enough in our diet and most don’t spend enough time outdoors to make it naturally in our skin either. I also figured out why I wasn’t getting enough Boron in my diet. I lost quite a bit of weight on a resistant starch diet but switched over to keto for a couple of months. Stopped losing weight and eventually gained weight because since dry fruit is high carb I stopped eating any type of dry fruit and that’s where you get the bulk of boron (plus some soils for farms are depleted of boron and many people aren’t getting it from any other food). I should have been taking boron & vitamin D all along. I bought a low dose drops of D3 with K2 and can take a single drop at a time and tolerate it, have been working up to more drops per day.

@Stereoguy I was doing so many things and it wasn’t all that effective. I had already cut down on sugar and wasn’t buying ice cream and other sweets but it can creep into the diet with yogurts and other “healthy” food. So after I started with Vitamin D and Boron it was easy for me….like I said no will power because there are no cravings for starchy foods or sugar in anything now. I can have one “cheat” meal a week to get some of the starchier veggies like cooked carrots, beets and maybe a roast sweet potato but otherwise can still to a low-carb keto plan.
