In the news........"the pandemic has raised new questions about how to balance individual liberty with public health. The latest is whether people who

refuse to be vaxxed should pay for their own medical care out of pocket when they get COVID"

What do you think?

The current situation is having a 20% of society hold hostage the remaining 80% (percentages varying by country), causing disruptions of service for everyone, posing a several-folds higher risk of mutations and what not.

Something has to be done with these folks; pretending they don't exist hasn't done anything good so far, quite the opposite. I'd rather see my tax money spent in more valuable causes than preserving these idiots alive, to be absolutely frank.

@Elessar The problem is, there is only so much you can do with "Stupid"😷

@whowasthatmaskedman How so? 5,000 bucks fine for every year or semester they aren't covered, you'll see how quickly they'll run to the nearest vaccination centre.

@Elessar You are preaching to the choir here. Right now unvaxxed people cant participate in a lot of things as we have a QR checkin system on our phone that shows our Vax status. Which I think is fine. No mask, no entry is standard. No mask no vaxx no travel. But I see the problem for Americans, who have been told all their lives they are entitled and carry guns.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman We've got the very same system here, but the places that actually check QRs are a tiny minority. Also, after you can't expect bartenders and private businesses to do the govt/police's job - there are workers who have been physically assaulted by idiots who didn't have the code.

@Elessar There is the difference. Thats legally enforced here and if a business is caught not complying its shut down.😷
Elessar · 26-30, M
@whowasthatmaskedman Yeah, also here. In theory, but not in practice, really. If those pseudo restrictions worked in the first place, rest assured we'd have zero antivaxxers.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Elessar We have a few antivaxxers as well. Still in the streets protesting while the public laugh at them. But Frankly we got public support for lockdowns and vaccines way better than America. And as a result only a couple of thousand dead, instead of 700,000. I leave you to draw your own conclusions.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Yeah well over there it's wild. I've no idea what's their antivaxxers/pop ratio, but I would bet far higher than our ~20% here.

@Elessar Our state is over 90% double vaxxed. and the country as a whole is approaching that. But that doesnt mean we dont have our share of Morons.😷
