There's something I don't understand regarding hot water bottles.

I've never used one, someone made a post here about them, and I was thinking about it. Over time, doesn't the water in the hot water bottle become cold? So how is that supposed to keep you warm, if the water gets cold?

Why not just throw on extra layers to keep warm instead?

You put it in your bed around 20/30 minutes before bedtime and it makes your bed all lovely and warm for you and that way you sleep better
