When dating how close is too close?

My cousin's aunt wanted my little brother to date her daughter and my whole family started fake vomiting.
So to be clear this is the cousin of our cousin.
I said that it would be good because they both have no one and they both need to meet someone and we can help them.
My whole family said that I was weird.
So they started asking me would I date the half brother of my cousin as well ( no relation) I said yes and they acted like I was horrible.
Would you date the cousin of your cousin?
How about the unrelated brother or sister of your cousin.
I wouldn't seek it out but its just not that bad to me

No, no blood related.

@HannahSky I said that none of these people are related by blood

@REMsleep I still wouldn't, not my personal preference. If we're related, even by marriage, we're related as something..leave it as it is.

@HannahSky Ok yes I got you. I don't even see it as related by marriage.
Its your uncle's( by marriage) brother or sister's kid

@REMsleep Still, too complicated, it's a big world, people can branch out.
What you're saying isn't "wrong" but those are blurry lines there.

@HannahSky Yea thats what my family said also.
I guess I feel like its near impossible to meet a good person in my opinion so if its someone that you can know their whole family and everyone wants it to work and they will keep everyone honest that is major but guess its " too weird" for most people

@REMsleep Non blood related is non blood related.. But they're blood related to someone you're probably blood related to.. So the relationship lines get blurry and I don't know any families that don't already have way too much to deal with as it is.
Legally, obviously, it's not against the law.
