I feel better now that I have started praying again.
I still remembered the Our Father and Hail Mary still trying to study so I can memorize the act of contrition which is a prayer to ask for forgiveness and repentance.

Why don't you simply try talking to God? No need for formulas or recited lines. Just tell Him what you feel/need/think. Maybe start out by asking Him to forgive you your sins.

@hippyjoe1955 I know from experience and working a 12 step program that I also must find some way to make amends or do whats called a living amends and refrain from the sin that I can not make amends for whatever reason.
