Why do people hurt transgender people?

Why do people harass them? It breaks my spirit seeing my friends hurt.

The harasser is basically the biggest jackass, so why be hurt? Cross Dress, be transgender and be Proud you are being what you want to be like. Don't cower down because of a weakling with their forked tongue.

I admire people who do that, but since trans people are still being beaten and murdered, not just harrassed, we can't expect everyone to have that level of courage or foolhardiness.
