At what age did you start speaking your mind?

I'm getting to the point where I have zero filters and I'm lovin' it!
ShadowWorker · 61-69, F
I get ya! I've been outspoken most of my life. But now that I'm older, 65, I have no desire to speak my mind half the time. Somethings are best left unsaid. I have nothing to prove to anyone..anymore anyways ✌❤
Summerbreeze45 · 46-50, F
@ShadowWorker perfectly understandable. Nothing is very clear before that first cup...
ShadowWorker · 61-69, F
@Summerbreeze45 😊 thank you. I worry my age is affecting my brain 🤔😉 I have laughed at myself this morning. You are so kind...lol.. Have a blessed day!
Summerbreeze45 · 46-50, F
@ShadowWorker nah I have those moments often!
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
My first complete sentence was "Da me lo!" "Give me that!"
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@AthrillatheHunt I lived right above there from 61 to 67, then in Ziracuaretiro, Michoacan from 68 to 73.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Oberon1 no fuxking way dude !
I knew I liked you , just didn’t know why till now .
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@AthrillatheHunt I kind of overplay the 'Archie Bunker' persona a bit sometimes, but I am actually a cross between a John Bircher and Abbie Hoffman. 😆

It came and went over the years, depending on my own level of confidence, situation, and people involved. I have become a grumpy curmudgeon in my old age, who’s had enough of the BS in life, so I speak my mind more now, although it’s wise to know when to hold your tongue.

It's become more often in the last few years. When I say something, others tell me I can't say that. Too late! Already did! :)
Summerbreeze45 · 46-50, F
@SW-User that sounds a lot like where I am at the moment, zero filters
SW-User
I was a smart ass from the moment I could talk
Summerbreeze45 · 46-50, F
@SW-User 😆
According to my parents, as soon as I could speak. I stopped getting in trouble for it much more recently.

40's for me.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
when I was 10 years old.
Summerbreeze45 · 46-50, F
@cherokeepatti I am so so sorry you had to go through this. I thank you so much for sharing this with me. God bless you for the person you have become.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Summerbreeze45 thank you. I guess I just wanted to say that prayer is a lot more powerful than many people believe. If it could help a 10-year old child survive through long periods of chaos it can help anyone. Have to have a little seed of faith to get started. And then God will work with helping us through it.
Summerbreeze45 · 46-50, F
@cherokeepatti most definitely! I know it has helped through some if my darkest moments

Probably really started rocking in my thirties..
It's kind of a point of pride..
I always admit and own my mistakes and I always speak my mind.
SW-User
LOL I just did that and it might have cost me a friendship. Good times. 👍
SW-User
@Summerbreeze45 It was not a judgment of any kind. Just something I wondered. Maybe should have just left it.
Summerbreeze45 · 46-50, F
@SW-User I'm sorry. Maybe your friend will come around.
SW-User
@Summerbreeze45 This is all I wish to say about it really. Just so they know I am being sincere. Well...one would hope. But thank you kindly.
Lumberjack70 · 56-60, M
I’m now at that stage too. You reach a point where you still want to be kind but have to call out the BS you see. It’s liberating.
When I became an adult. Lol couldn’t at home.. my dad ruled there. Haha
Fluffybull · F
I've yet to reach that age 😆 Wish I could speak my mind more!
About 1.5 yrs ago so 46½yrs
Summerbreeze45 · 46-50, F
@SimplyMeChantou yea, that sounds about right. We're the same age.
