As an adult, how would you feel to discoverer you were adopted?

I have friends around that have recently discovered they were adopted. It didn't change knowing they were loved. Merely the parents thought it was TIME to be honest. I DO feel the person needs be told. Be open. Be joyful.
My 1st H was adopted. It was a shock when his folks passed and 'I' found the hidden documents. On a military tour to Germany WE came across a local family who recently applied at a local agency. And we applied. A few short months later we were told We had a daughter. That the birth mother was adamant on zero contact. Years later to present, her brothers have found her via Face Book.
She has been working a great deal. Putting in a lot of time with her company and has missed a few international calls.
My Daughter has a very brilliant mind. On the other side... My son, whom we were told was taken from the parents due to abuse.
Joel has made contact with his blood relatives. He and his wife have one daughter of their own, and currently living in their home, we have Donna, whom is 10. A previous placement due to abuse in a former prior foster home. Joel and Alisha have placed an application to legally adopt Donna. When Donna was told she CRIED with JOY!
I was only wondering, if you were given the information, you were adopted, Did the knowledge change you?
