@Justmeraeagain I might try to find a gluten-free recipe and make some…baking season has started, waking up to a chilly house now.

@cherokeepatti Hodgson's mills makes all kind of gluten free mixes and ingredients.
I have a cookbook from them.

@Justmeraeagain I haven’t seen Hodgson Mill Gluten free mixes in the stores around here. I do buy their flax meal. Not only is it healthy but you can use a bit of it with water as egg replacement for egg noodles, muffins, cakes, pancakes, waffles etc. and even mayo if you run out of eggs. I made gluten-free dumplings but made them round and flat and they were just like egg noodles except they had little flax flecks in them.

@cherokeepatti Maybe online?
I use flax in my baking and in daily oatmeal.

@Justmeraeagain I have a good assortment of gluten-free flours and have learned to mix up recipes for waffles, pancakes, muffins, cupcakes and cake bars (banana bars the last one) without even using a recipe. They all seem to turn out good. Those mixes are really expensive compared to what I can mix up my own for. I’ve made carrot bars, apple-walnut bars, vanilla, chocolate, etc cupcakes, and several types of waffles that way. Due to the price and very low quality of gluten free bread I was motivated to start making my own.
