Sometimes Satire Becomes Post-Satire


Wherein the absurdity of satire and irony has to deal with the latent absurdity and irony of the reality at hand, and so enters post-irony and post-satire.
Just thinking about that makes my head hurt.

@LuciliaLucyfer I meant not just latent, as in "present and capable of emerging or developing but not now visible, obvious, active, or symptomatic." (per Miriam-Webster, which says it better than I could :) )

@Really That was partially my point, the latency, or rather, implicit irony and absurdity in reality, has become quite explicate, leaving Satire and its school of comedy no where to go but to mimic reality itself in a state of post-irony.
