It's been steady flow of change and improving myself, while going along with the flow of life, reineventing never really happened though I did try

Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
I reinvented myself right after I had my first baby at the end of grade 12. I knew I needed to stay away from the crowd I had been hanging out with since grade 9. They were really bad influences. I changed the way I dressed, my hair, my music, and made all new friends. Never looked back. Best thing I ever did for myself

Not so much just improved myself ..I'm always trying to.be a better version of myself then I was before

Yes, and no. Times I have tried, and I'm sure I have, and where to begin. I did once quit a job (worthwhile but made me depressed) in hopes of meeting someone, and then I did. We made a life together for eight years together. I can remember all of that, meeting her, even when it seems so long ago, how we broke apart. Too much I can detail upon there, but that's not new, I have always remembered those important to me in story

My newest re-invention, sadly, is straddling a line in alcoholism. Accumulate too much in life, while you are sensitive, and what takes you away can become quite beautiful. Even if I wanted to undo, I wouldn't.

Guess, I'm after we are always reinventing ourselves everyday, we don't always see, and whatever version of yourself you see today, is a very fine one, can be improved on, and you can put that out. No one else can.

Just asking the question is a step.

Improved more than reinvented

Life did it for me. A complete transformation, and one that has made me very happy even though I have very little.

Somewhat, I went back to school when I was 30 and got my business diploma and totally changed careers.
Yes...went from carpenter to engineer to management...
Yes, I decided about 20 years ago that life would be easier if I was confident, so I started pretending I was, turns out I'm pretty good at pretending. Might seem a little fake to some, but does everyone reveal their true feelings to all?
Senecaa · 70-79, M
How do you do that? Reinvent yourself think I am to old n circumstances not too good.
Senecaa · 70-79, M
@Jenny1234 how do know who you want to be. With having had a stroke have lost alot of who I was or can be
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@Senecaa I’m so sorry that happened to you. I suppose even just visualizing how you want your life to be going forward and what changes are needed to make it happen
Senecaa · 70-79, M
@Jenny1234 how to make those changes happen isn't gonna be easy for me. I drove a car n had a licence now I don't know If I can drive now or have a licence now so at the moment my options seem limited. How can I reinvent myself with these limitations I don't know.
I’m actually trying that in my new job. Two months in and it’s going well

Yes. I’ve had to. Couldn’t stay miserable.
conscienceforsale · 46-50, M
Isn't that what the internet is for? Aka... multiple digital media accounts
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
@conscienceforsale maybe but I’m specifically thinking about real life
conscienceforsale · 46-50, M
@Jenny1234 Done that too a multiple times. I figured one needs to adapt to changing times, changing environments, financial situations, governments, cities, neighborhoods. Anything that we know will have a long term impact on our lives that we can't control, we will have to re-invent ourselves in order to survive or thrive.
