Please, don't judge me

Because that's not why I'm here. If you can't make a contributable comment, move on.

I've been watching 007 movies since 10am this sunday morning. How about you?

On friday I made a personal and conscious decision to get "the shot", so I just been lounging around all day. You see, my work is governed by OSHA, so anything they tell us we have to do, we have to do it. I can't afford to not work, and I honestly can't see myself going out every week for a test. And if the test would come back positive with no symptoms, I won't be able to work for 2 whole weeks, and with bills I can't afford to sit at home with no income, because there is no more covid pay from what I've heard.

Moving on, I was fine all of friday, early saturday I woke up with a headache, took excedrin migraine the headache was suppressed, kind of, but came back, woke up today with a headache, took excedrin migraine, had a hotdog and reese cups and headache completely gone. I also had some body aches which are now also completely gone.

As of right now I feel like I did before I had gotten the shot, but I had it done at my doctors office. I just felt like that should be the place to go for a shot. Even though CVS does it, walmart does it, I'm old fashioned. Shots are done at the doctors office. Plus, they have more immediate resources than a retail store does when it would come to a medical emergency.

Thank you for being vaccinated. 🌷

@helenS I can’t believe someone downvoted your comment
helenS · 36-40, F
@Jenny1234 I have been downvoted several times during the past couple of days. My comments are usually polite and forward-looking.
Maybe someone hates me?
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@helenS very weird
JackJames · M
@helenS @Jenny1234 I find people who downvote feel they know more than the rest of us about vaccines and actually know either just as much if not less than we do.
helenS · 36-40, F
@JackJames If someone does not like what I said, he/she should criticize me publicly and tell me what's wrong, in their opinion. But secretly and anonymously downvoting something is weird.
And in that particular case here it wasn't even an opinion, it was just an expression of gratitude, and a flower. 😐
JackJames · M
@helenS oh I completely agree. But they don’t want to be proven wrong. That’s been the issue through this. They see science happening and think it’s wrong because of basic knowledge on a non basic subjects. Then people who sound smart but still know very little say something and they agree because it’s what they wanted the whole time.

@helenS People can be very weird at times 🤷‍♂️

I've given up trying to figure them out. I've been down voted before on a few posts as well.

@Jenny1234 I didn't down vote but found it funny how we are asked not to judge and there comes someone thanking for getting a vaccine. lol
Seems like a bit of a judging statement to me.
JackJames · M
@SW-User To be fair the literal definition of judgement is negative in connotation.
SW-User
@JackJames Why would judgment only be negative? And even so, not everyone agrees about the vaccine for this covid stuff to be good. lol It was just how I saw it...like still a judgment against those not vaccinated.

judge
form an opinion or conclusion about.
"it is hard to judge whether such opposition is justified" · [more]
synonyms:
form the opinion · come to the conclusion · conclude · decide · determine · [more]

To judge is not the same as being judgmental.
JackJames · M
@SW-User I’m sorry but that’s the definition. People will always say, good judgement but whenever someone uses it the way he did, they generally mean nothing negative. Now they might not want to get it and therefore could be negative. However, the person who posted this said nothing and therefore either one doesn’t care or 2 didn’t find it offensive. So you decided to come in and give your 2 cents where it wasn’t needed.
SW-User
@JackJames I'd give you my two cents about your pompous comment but it probably wouldn't sink in. YOU gave your two cents where I didn't see it as needed either. I was finding things a bit humorous, but you killed that and made it a big debate.
Now...go away, please.
