Saudi take over

Is it morally wrong that a country that is behind a murder that was carried out in one of it Embassies is allowed to buy a British soccer team.

Is the Saudi Govenrment buying it or a citizen?

How is wn embassy related to soccer i dont see the connection and honestly every government in the world has done horrific things
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@Whyme The connection is that of selling a large business to a repressive regime not above murdering its own journalists and critics in its embassies abroad.

That the business happens to be a football "club" is not really the point, and the UK has sold far too many assets much more important than a football firm to far too many overseas companies and countries; to answer your direct question about the connection.

Unfortunately we live in a world in which the democratic nations do have to have trading and diplomatic links with some very nasty dictatorships, such as Russia, Saudi Arabia and China.

@ArishMell Were talking football here not industry. I think it is wrong and condoning their horrific human rights record

@Jamesy I agree with the moral point but would say similarly whether a football team or some vital industry.

Uk does business with them and arms deals, so they can’t really say much
