Don't really care. It's not genuine. It's just an effort to be polite.

If it's a nice genuine smile, it's ok. If it's a creepy one, it gives me the heebie-jeebies.

Sometimes I wonder if I have toilet paper stuck on my shoe, and don't know. Not how I want to roll.

be polite , return the smile and say Good Day or Evening. Then see if a conversation is to begin. Is a simple great way in seeing who you really are.
