I'm gonna go with Bermuda or somewhere in the Caribbean. Zig-zag lines on the edge of the road but no sidewalk, Roman alphabet on one sign, corrugated metal, tropical or semi-tropical vegetation; there are a lot of near- equatorial places where it could be.

@Dlrannie Alas! The zig-zags made me think of a British connection, but I didn't think as far afield as the antipodes.
