What does the "Game of love" mean?

If a person finds someone commenting on his SO's profile "its just a 'game' between us" while both are exchanging likes on each other's pic, SO liking many pics and the guy likes only a few.

What does that mean?

Should the person be open mineded and let them play whatsoever game they are playing or interrupt?
