In what way different?
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull It's not easy to explain, Fluffy. Just different.
If they say things they didn't before, and do things they wouldn't before, like drinking alcohol.

@Manfredthemanic Is this your brother?
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull Yes, and I understand he's older and meeting new friends, but it's different. Maybe I'm just jealous. I don't know.

@Manfredthemanic It's not be nessarily bad to treat people differently unless you are mean to them. Sometimes it's good. For example, when I lived at home with my parents I was still rather treated like "their child", but when I left home and came back for a visit, I was treated like "a guest" or more of a "grown-up" so that was good! It's also quite usual for older teenagers to try alcohol. Do you feel he's not as nice to you as he used to be?
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull I understand. In your examples it is a good thing because when you are not a child, you don't want your parents to treat you like one. 😊
He treats me different. More like dad does than how he did before he left. And he told me we would have fun, but he's only been out with his girlfriend. I missed him and wanted to have fun with him.

@Manfredthemanic Ah, I see! He's become one of "the adults" 😥. It used to be you and him against the adults and now he's turning into one. Oh, dear! He's got out and has new interests and a new life but can't remember how it was before, the two of you together. 😥
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull But he's been an adult for 3 years now and he wasn't like that. I don't mind if he makes new friends, because that's good, but I wanted things to stay the same with us. I might be being silly or selfish, but it's good to be honest.
Fluffybull · F
@Manfredthemanic Yes, of course it's good being honest. How old is he now and when did he leave home?
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull He's 21 and he left only a few months ago.
Fluffybull · F
@Manfredthemanic If he only left home a few months ago then he's still in the "I'm out on my own and I don't need ,my family" phase 😉 I went through that only I was 17 when I left home. He's just dashing around like a dog would if you let it run free in a park for the first time and it gave you a hard time catching it to put the lead back on.😊 Give him a bit of time, he'll probably calm down a bit and remember that family is important too. Also if that's his first girlfriend that will be another distraction 😊
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull Wow. You were young when you left home, Fluffy! Just three years older than me right now. 😲
Haha. Yes, he is running around like a dog in the field. 🤣😁 That's why I want a dog because they don't change and don't leave you. 😊
I hope he is more like himself soon. I miss him.

@Manfredthemanic Yes, I bet you do. What you could try doing is to write down your feelings about things, what's happening in your life, the things you would normally tell him and keep them in a notebook. Then when he's more like his old self you can give him the book when he asks you how you are and what's been happening. 😊♥️
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull That's a good idea! I already have a book like that. 😊 But what if he never comes back?
Fluffybull · F
@Manfredthemanic I don't think that's very likely. He'll be back at Xmas at the latest. 🎄🎁 In the meantime, you have people here to talk to 😊
Manfredthemanic · 16-17, M
@Fluffybull I know. 🤗🤗
Before he leaves, I want to ask him to do something fun with me.
Goodnight, Fluffy.
