It is the sad part. I had a turn to be young once. Now, it's your turn. Now, I am passed middle age, and it is my turn to be moving into my senior years. One day it will be your turn to be moving into your senior years. See? We all have the same turns at the same things. But there is no sense in people being sad about that, because none of us can change that, it's just a fact of nature. The key, however, to not being sad is take time to enjoy the small things: the first taste of the first cup of coffee of the day; the serenity of a sunrise; a warm smile from a friend. When I was young, I was always disappointed, looking for the monumental, not realizing that life's pleasures are in the little things that most people never take the time to notice.

Sometimes it's because of depression. Depressed people don't take jokes or teasing well.

@SW-User You know it's bad when the person can't laugh and their voice is flat, empty and distant when they speak. At such times it's for the best to stay quiet and leave them be. At least from my experience.

Do more of what makes you happy. Happiness comes from within. Exhume positive energy and you will attract the same energy back. 😊
