Got the old girl out and rode her to work Friday before the rain came in

@WindTherapy I know … it’s got electric start too, but the kick start works just fine … surprisingly easy to kick over … I had to use it a few times just before I got the new battery … was really glad I had it too …

@YoungDawg66 Yep. A well tuned bike doesn't take a whole lot to start. But an inline 4 probably is a different beast than a v-twin in terms of effort. Of course it may be I'm 40 years older than when I rode those different bikes. 🤣

@WindTherapy Ha … true … I was used to kick starting those old 250 four stroke dirt bikes … man, they kicked back … tore my leg up more than a few times trying to get those puppies started back in the day …

@thedarkside thank you … it was black but I like the orange better … not sure what color I’ll paint her next year …

@swirlie I loved the feel of that bike … it was a 1980 … and had the perfect seat height and peg placement … the newer ones just don’t have that ‘good feel’ to me …

@swirlie my buddy has a 2018 Sportster 1200 and the pegs just feel stretched to me …

And with my 750Four, I’ve been known to use the rear pegs if I want to get aerodynamic …

Course now I’ve got the shield on the front, kinda had to, I travel a major highway almost every time I ride …

The early rice burners didn’t use black, something about Japanese superstition … not sure if there’s any truth to that, but who knows …
