When cleaning pots/pans after cooking, do you ever fear leaving scratches when scrubbing dirt off?

Nope.. I've got a cast iron pan that's been in the family for 30 years... The only care it gets is hand wash and dry

what kind of pans are they? if teflon, then better be gentle. cuz you don't wanna eat teflon believe me. I've changed many flats in london, the pans I saw you wouldn't believe, they were like people scraped the teflon with bread and eat it, the metals under teflon were shining bright.. and yet they kept using them daily
I get a little paranoid about my cast iron but even if I do scratch the patina it can be rebuilt. Otherwise, nothing lasts forever so I'm just as gentle as I can be with the other stiff and don't stress too much.

@JamieDeer Guess how happy I was to find out that this stupid label sticker on the plastic bowl was made of plastic instead of simple paper 🙄

Most of my pans are non-stick and easy to clean.
The others. If I ever burn anything, I use rhubarb to clean them.
