To the seasoned people of SW. What are the failproof things that gets a person ahead in life?

Thinking ahead 40 or 50 years when you are young. Almost nobody does it that is why the few are ahead.

Make sure you do the opposite of a creep

Stay out of the sun. Never use soap on your skin. Just because someone has authority, does not mean they are right. Stick to your values, and live with integrity. Be true to yourself. Don’t waste time with abusive people. They don’t love you. Not sure that’s guaranteed to get you ahead, but it’s just a few things I’d tell my younger self.

#1 is Luck, being in the right place at the right time.
#2 is Do Something. Just sitting on the couch won't get you very far.
#3 is Show up, and be there on time.

Learn to say no when something doesn't work for you. Don't be too concerned about others approval or criticism.

Ignore salespeople. You buy and make the decisions that are best for you.
