@Burnley123 yes, though some don’t like to label it as such.
It’s a firm belief system.

@MegzyMax04 it is quite literally not a belief system
That’s tantamount to saying that science is a belief system

@MegzyMax04 Did you block me? WTF?

@JoeyFoxx Science is a belief system. It is a true (by scientific rationale nonetheless) but it is a belief system.

@JoeyFoxx You keep posting laughter emojis. I'm glad you find me funny. I also think you are hilarious. Ha. Ha.

No it isn’t. It doesn’t require a “belief system” or faith. It is simply an observation of what is. Some consider belief in science as a faith, but it is actually confidence in a process that has show repeatedly to produce results.
Furthermore, Atheism makes no promises. It offers no rewards and has nothing to threaten with. Religion does.

@DocSavage I'm atheist agnostic myself because even my agnosticism is sitting on the fence.

Science is a set of methods (a methodology). Those methods allow us to ask questions of the natural universe and to know how much confidence we can have in the answers.
Belief not required

In fact, 'atheism' is a term that should not even exist. No one ever needs to identify himself as a 'non-astrologer' or a 'non-alchemist'. We do not have words for people who doubt that Elvis is still alive or that aliens have traversed the galaxy only to molest ranchers and their cattle. Atheism is nothing more than the noises reasonable people make in the presence of unjustified religious beliefs.

1. there's no proof that gods exist
2. there's no proof that gods don't exist
3. in any event, there’s no compelling necessity to even postulate gods, and the postulation explains nothing (not even itself)... it merely tries to explain everything away.
4. therefore, I have no gods (I’m an agnostic atheist)
Can you identify a ‘belief system’ in there?
