Corona Virus

There are now more cases of Covid per 100,000 than there were this time last year ,and also a stronger more easily spread variant, can you see an end to this pandemic .

with schools and colleges open and seeing thousands of fans in football stadiums all over the country it remains to be seen if we end up in a lockdown again

@saragoodtimes So long as there are relatively large slices of the population that refuse to get themselves protected, that's exactly and inevitably how it's gonna go, for all of us.

@Elessar everyday here see another store put a sign in the window recommending a mask be worn but no mandate yet. fear it's coming though

@saragoodtimes Over here they've never ceased to be mandatory indoors (with some exceptions of course, e.g. when sitting at a restaurant). But masks alone aren't a big concern/bother for me - another actual lockdown, even partial, on the other hand..

@Elessar lockdown was terrible. fortunately I had my house where the Kids and I could stay while he was in mandated isolation. don't have that now don't know what we'll do if they do it again

@saragoodtimes I live in a flat myself (unfortunately); I had a balcony at least, but two whole months locked in here (Mar-Apr 2020) haven't been fun.

Luckily my whole family and I managed to dodge it until vaccination, but I have relatives who had to be isolated as well, living in a similar apartment than mine.. Yeah, definitely not fun.
