I wish I could make 6 figures as a dog trainer

Since working at the dog daycare I’ve come to realize how much I do enjoy working with dogs. I think a career as a dog trainer would make me very happy. But there’s no way I’m making $100k+ doing that so it’s not really on the table.

@in10RjFox you’re saying put my dogs up for sale?

@Zeuro Not really your dog, but since you are good dog trainer, you can train a few on a regular basis for your business and sell them as well trained dogs ..

@in10RjFox I think typically how it works is people will come to you with dogs they already own and then you train them. A lot of dog training is actually people-training

@Zeuro I get it. And that's your mainline of business.. But you can make some extra money by converting newer customers to own dogs .. For e.g. you can have a website and put up dogs for adoption... and you can conduct a session to train new would-be owners, so they understand the ordeals involved and can take a dog home for a day or two on trial basis.. Some may want to do it as a fun activity during weekends .. or just to post on Instagram that they have a dog for a week..
