why do you think roald dahl was obsessed with bottle green?
in many of his books one of the main characters always happen to wear a bottle green trousers or breeches etc.

I think that many authors forget what they said in a previous book, so they use it again.
Lately, I've been reading a lot of detective novels by a particular author. Even though, in real life, there are not a lot of people who have red hair and green eyes, many (most?) of his characters have red hair and green eyes.
