Generosity...is it something that comes easy or do you really have to work at it?

My sister gives away things she is actually using when she sees someone either wants or needs it.

@SW-User I’ve done that too. I would rather it be put to good use. I generally save my stuff up and if someone needs it then donate it. Knew a man who lost everything in a fire and had enough good things to fill up the back of my SUV and take to him. He had gotten an efficiency apartment and had to start all over again and didn’t have much $ to live on. That type of thing.

@SW-User That was the way I was raised. And the little church we went to if they found out someone had a house fire they would take up a separate donation for that family, probably got more in donations to the family than they did for the church, the church expenses weren’t that much because nobody got paid to preach and members helped with the maintenance.
