if they get an extra break then everyone should get an extra break. i mean really, if my religion said i had to jerk off for half an hour a day ay a specific time, would they make allowances for me? no of course not. you do that stuff on your free time.

@Candie I see where you're coming from but you can't compare praying the way muslims do to jerking off really.. they have a special meeting with God at an appointed time - what you gave was not a nice example - two things can't be compared. but yeah I see what you mean, so yeah maybe the solution could be they get paid less ? if they spend 1 hour praying within their work hours then maybe that should be deducted accordingly from their salary.

@octoberthesixth so you think that American businesses should bow down to their rigid beliefs based on a religion that hates us and wishes us death???????
octoberthesixth · 26-30, F
@Candie no it basically means everybody should simply respect each other. muslims would expected to respect their fellow colleagues too
Candie · F
@octoberthesixth umm. hmm respect?? you can respect the person but not their religion. you can just put the devout Muslims over there with the gay-bashing bible thumpers...

@Candie You are talking about extremists not Muslims.
Besides, allowing Muslims to pray won’t bring Americans’ business down. This is nothing but ignorance.

I can witness from the comments over here how the people of other religions are so fine with Muslims having a prayer break.

@Fertilization well, if they can work something out with an employer that would be great for them. if you study up on Islam though if they aren't "extremists" they aren't true Muslims so why should they bother adhering so strictly to a religion that doesnt even acknowledge their worship of it. the Koran considers them hypocrites not true Muslims. It limits them from reading othe rbooks, attaining other knowledge. NOt saying that all Muslim beliefs are bad but at the same time, to be slavishly devoted to a book? Why should American businesses have to make special allowances for them based on their "religion"? Islam is a polital ideology as well as a religion and should not be allowed to rule anything in America per the constitiution. (if I'm not mistaken.)

@Candie
It limits them from reading othe rbooks, attaining other knowledge.
This is not true at all.

@Candie
Why should American businesses have to make special allowances for them based on their "religion"?
You should learn not to discriminate people according to their sex race faith etc. before you make any comments.

@octoberthesixth what I read is their only allowed to read the Koran. I'm not going to look for it you can look if you want
octoberthesixth · 26-30, F

@Candie
well I disagree.
Your choice if you want to remain ignorant.
Candie · F
@octoberthesixth ignorant of what?
Fertilization · 36-40, F
@Candie This is absolutely wrong.
Islam doesn’t forbid Muslims to read the holy books of other faiths.
Muslims can read and study them but to follow them is not allowed.
See the difference.

@Fertilization show me and I'll look other wise i dont really care

@Candie one of the six Major beliefs in Islam is

Belief in the Books of God:

Muslims believe that God revealed holy books or scriptures to a number of God’s messengers. These include the Quran (given to Muhammad), the Torah (given to Moses), the Gospel (given to Jesus), the Psalms (given to David), and the Scrolls (given to Abraham). Muslims believe that these earlier scriptures in their original form were divinely revealed, but that only the Quran remains as it was first revealed to the prophet Muhammad.
