After the invasion on D-Day in WW2,Eisenhower contacted to leaders of the French resistance. Eisenhower apologized for any fighters that might have been killed from bombings and the invasion. The French resistance leaders said they accept any deaths in the fight for their freedom.
Many wars have been fought for freedom. I can’t think of one fought for health.
