Californian. Seriously, when I went to work for the state of N.D people remarked on my accent.

@Grateful4you I didn't even know there is such a thing as a Californian accent...
@helenS Neither did I. One of the staff asked me if I wanted to go to dinner with her. I said, "Sure, but it's only noon" She said, "Exactly, it's dinner time"...evenings are, "A little lunch"

@Grateful4you do you say ‘axe’ instead of ‘ask’?
@Jenny1234 No, one of my best friends did though, it's a very common usage in Ca. I'm rather OCD about proper enunciation. Words said like FUR-tographer instead of PHO-tographer, and Li-BERRY instead of Li-BRARY drive me up the wall.

@Grateful4you I lived in North Dakota from 1998 to 2017. There, it's, "Breakfast, dinner, and supper." Like in my native Iowa.
@Byron8by7 I lived in a little insignificant town called "Grafton" Our choice for a night out was either the bars or bingo.

@Grateful4you I lived in Minot, a fair amount of things to do locally.
